Sitarganj
The Kisan Sahkari Chini Mills ltd. Sitarganj established in 1984 at village Sarkara, P.O Nakatpura, Sitarganj at pilibhit (NH-74) Distt Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand).
The Govt of U.P supported a sum of Rs. 449.00 lac and Uttarakhand Govt. supported a sum of Rs. 209.00 lac and prograssiv farmers, Coop. Institutions contribute over Rs. 34.49 lacs as share capital. M/S Triveni Engineering Co. Ltd., was called to supply & erect the 1250 TCD capacity plant. The construction work took three years. On 21 Nov., 1984 dream came true and sugar mill was inaugurated by the than Hon’ble Chief Minister of U.P Sri N.D. Tiwariji. The opening of the factory provided large scale employment and allowed development of the region in all fields and high profits to farmers.
New technology in sugar production was also incorporated. The production in the plant was increased by 1250 TCD to 2500 TCD in the year 1991.
The factory has benefited its 750 employees directly and another 30000 related people with their livelihood. Presence of second and even third generation of employees at our units is a certificate of our success.
